Where Wild Sonora Started
Hi, I’m Whitney—the founder of Wild Sonora!
The name Wild Sonora comes from my middle name, Sonora, inspired by the Sonoran Desert where I was born. Growing up surrounded by desert landscapes and sleeping under starlit skies sparked a lifelong love of wild places, campfires, and off-the-grid adventures.
After exploring 25 countries and 44 states, I realized the gear I brought with me should feel just as inspired as the places I was exploring. That’s where the Sonora Sack comes in—compression sacks designed not just for function, but for storytelling. Inspired by iconic landscapes and built for the trail, they help you pack smarter and carry the wild with you—whether you’re heading into the backcountry or car camping under the stars.
